How We Calculate Practice Value

Multipliers are Dentx-compiled estimates, not a primary dataset; region and adjustment factors in particular are unsourced approximations. Actual valuations require formal appraisal, and every practice is different.

EBITDA Multiple Method

A common method used by buyers. We calculate your EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) and apply market-appropriate multiples. Base multiples run from about 1.5x for small practices to 5.5x for larger ones before adjustments; location, region, age, growth and other factors can move the result outside these ranges.

Value = EBITDA x Multiple + Assets
