Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our dental competitor analysis tool.

How does the dental competitor analysis tool work?

Enter your practice details and up to 4 competitors. The tool scores each practice across three categories: Google Presence (50% weight — rating, reviews, years in business), Online Presence (30% — website quality, online booking, social media), and Marketing Activity (20% — Google Ads, response time). Each practice receives a letter grade from A+ to F.

What data do I need to use this tool?

You need each practice’s Google rating, approximate review count, whether they have a website, online booking, active social media, and whether they run Google Ads. All of this is publicly visible on Google Search and Google Maps. The analysis takes about 5 minutes to complete.

How accurate is the competitive analysis?

The tool provides a directional snapshot based on publicly visible online signals. It does not measure SEO rankings, website traffic, or revenue. Use it to identify where competitors are stronger or weaker in their online presence and where your practice has opportunities to improve.

Why are Google reviews weighted so heavily?

Google reviews are the single largest factor in local dental search rankings and patient decision-making. Practices with more reviews and higher ratings consistently appear in the Google Map Pack and receive more clicks. Review volume and rating together account for the majority of the Google Presence score.

Can I save or share my competitive analysis results?

Yes. After completing the analysis, you can enter your email to receive a copy of your results. The report includes scores for all practices, identified strengths, and areas for improvement. There is no cost or obligation.
